Huge Investment in DJ Rental Stock… Just in Time for your Christmas Party!
FX Rentals has recently updated its extensive inventory with a wide range of new DJ gear. Now available for rental is the new Pioneer DJM700 DJ Mixer featuring a unique master filter which can be overlaid on any other effects and switched to sweep over the EQ band to filter frequency ranges. New effects include the Robot and Crusher, plus full MIDI mapping on all but three controls.
Other new DJ mixers on offer from FX are the Vestax PMC-08 Pro Digital Mixer and the Pioneer DJM909 and DJM800DJ Mixers, plus Allen & Heath’s XONE:92 DJ Mixer with six dual stereo channels, two offering mic inputs, totalling 10 stereo and two microphone inputs and a full range of connectors; this allows connection to four turntables, two mics, CD and MD players, drum machines and samplers.
FX has also added the Pioneer DVJ-1000 Pro DVD Turntable with the same operation and layout as the CDJ-1000MK3 but offering enhanced DVD specifications.

FX Chosen to Supply Abbey Road & Olympic Studios with
Pro Tools Upgrades
The FX Group has supplied both Abbey Road and Olympic Studios with new Digidesign Pro Tools HD3 Accel systems.
Two HD3 Accel rigs have been installed into Abbey Road, comprising Digidesign Sync IO and Midi IO, Magma Expansion Chassis, 48 IOs using Digidesign 192s, an Apple Mac Pro Quad 3.0Ghz computer and 23-inch Apple cinema display screen, with lots more peripheral equipment and plug-ins.
Meanwhile Olympic has been installed with a 32 input/64 output system with plug-ins including Digidesign Massive Pack 6; Waves Gold; Serato Pitch’N time; Autotune 5; Sony Oxford Limiter/ Inflator/Dynamics; Soundtoys Echoboy/Soundblender; Drumagog pro and Celemony Melodyne Studio 3.
The systems were specifed by Simon Campbell, EMI Studios Group UK’s head of technical services, who says, “It’s always good to deal with FX because they know their stuff, are very competitive on price and are easy to get along with. The expansion chassis for Abbey Road enable us to fulfill the demands we now have for 160 track digital IO HD5 systems when mixing large film scores in our Penthouse Studio.”

FX DELIVERS DIGIDELIVERY
We’ve recently installed the popular DigiDelivery system at our London HQ. DigiDelivery offers an easy, fast and secure way to transfer digital files across the internet without the need for recipients to enter IP addresses, usernames or passwords. The system is already popular within the film, broadcast and pro-audio industries and is used internally by the FX Pro Tools and Copyroom departments. We also offer clients the facility to hold their own account within FX’s system, allowing them to transfer their own files directly from studio to client.

FX ADDS NOISE CONTROL
PA SYSTEM
Driven by customer demand, FX has recently added the Noise Control ASYM Compact PA system to its rental stock. Two powered configurations are available; both extremely portable, the 3kW system incorporates tripod stands and the 7.5kW includes bass bins.
